Happily Ever After...Into Eternity
I've
watched news
reports on people that have just won a pile 'o cash in some big
lottery and they are just wearing
that
same silly grin that we all had back when we received our
first big box of
64 crayons.
I mean, they're
fired
up because
they now have all the
money they could possibly use
for
the rest of their earthy-based years.
Meanwhile, I'll
meet up with a gang of
folks that have
turned their
life over to Jesus
Christ
- people that now, not only have a
direct, personal relationship with their creator in this
life,
but also have the opportunity of spending eternity in paradise with Him as well.
Oddly, I often see gloomy faces.
I've even heard comments like, "Oh, back before I became a
Christian, I used to have all kinds of fun, but I'd never try to
do that now." YIKES!!!
What's wrong with that attitude??
While, it is true that Jesus told us that,
as His followers, we'll need to (and I'm paraphrasing here) pick
up our cross and fall-in
behind Him, he never said we have to
lay down under the weight of that cross and do snow angels!
You see, plugging into the power of God through Jesus Christ is
as natural as breathing. Surrendering to Christ is the
completion of life, not the burden of life. No
one really believes that Jesus Christ gave his life for
everyone's sins so that we'd all have a miserable existence and relationship
with God, do they?
Stop believing
some lie. It's time to kick back, loosen up and enjoy
the feeling of that Spirit given fire that burns in you like the
sun. For the joy-starved Christians of the world, it's
time to feast at God's picnic table! And for those who
don't have that personal relationship with Jesus Christ (notice I
didn't say "religion", I said "relationship"), hey,
you're invited
to the party too!
Cheers!

Enjoy
the Happy-Go-Godly Life!
A "laidback attitude" lengthens a person's life.

A Life
of God & Coconuts

Even
the body of Christ needs a good vacation now and again! Bill Mallia appears to be
one of the merry pied
pipers sent to help call people back to the
sheer
happiness that is inherent in serving the one true God through
Jesus Christ.
A lot
of folks like to refer to Bill's sound as "Christian beach
music". The reality is that his folk/rock has been
influenced by both an inextricable,
personal
relationship with Jesus Christ along with a whole lot of travel
to what's have been called, "the little latitudes".
Born a "Maine boy"
(Rockland/Owls Head) and now residing on the left shore of Cape
Cod Bay, Bill's spent a
pile of days traveling the Caribbean, Tahiti, Northern Australia
and the like. The reason? Bill's been involved in the travel
industry for years helping Caribbean resorts, cruise lines,
airlines, etc. pull more business from travel agencies.
He's worked with everyone from the Barbados Tourism Authority to Air
Tahiti Nui - from Caribbean-based tall ship cruise lines to VIA Rail
Canada up north.
Now
mix in being a born entertainer, the ability to strum real hard
on a guitar (Bill's a Martin Guitar Recognized Artist) and a
"happy-go-Godly" attitude and you can understand why Bill Mallia
and his performance style is consistently regarded as unique
amongst artists in the Christian music genre.
What’s
The
Mission?
Bill's
driven to minister to joy-starved, dormant Christians. He
also wants to show
non-Christians that there is nothing better than a complete life
in Christ!
For all of
the fun that’s had with this Christian beach music stuff,
there’s a enormously vital purpose behind it. The fact is,
there are a whole load of people that have never grown beyond
that “born again box" and they seem to think that they not only
surrendered their life to Christ, but they also had to give up
their general sense of happiness too. This attitude stops folks
dead-in-their-tracks and keeps them from growing in service to
God. The result is that they never become all they could
be for him.
The word
"encourage" is used generously throughout the Bible.
For the sake of being productive for Christ, Bill wants to actively encouraging people to redefine what "fun"
is from a Godly/Biblical standpoint. Being a
Christian
is an 11 on a "happy scale" of 1 - 10. If someone hasn't
realized this fact, they haven't completely grasped what a life
as a child of the one God is all about.
You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing.
You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with
joy, that I might sing praises to you and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever!
Psalm 30:11, 12
