Performance
Honorarium Requirements
As you can
imagine, there are a multitude of financial demands that
accompany any musical endeavor. For Bill Mallia, serving
God is not just a hobby, it's part of how he eats, pays bills
and maintains his family. The result is that he needs to
charge a reasonable fee for his efforts.
Bill
Mallia, is available for events world-wide, although, due to his
style of music, the North
American and related tropical regions make the most sense. Venues traditionally include
everything from international cruise ships to coffeehouses,
large festivals and church picnics.
The cost of having Bill
come to your event entirely depends on a number of factors
including travel time and costs from
Plymouth,
Massachusetts (02360), event type, date, etc. All quotes
are custom quotes and start at $300 and work up from there,
depending on the specifics (note coffeehouse exception below).

Christian
Coffeehouses/Cafe
Exception -
This is a home-base special. In an effort support local
Christian coffeehouses/cafes with their ministries, Bill Mallia
is prepared to offer his musical performance at a deep discount
and a personal financial loss, but he does ask for some basic
help from the event to defray some expenses.
Note that this option is
only offered to Christian coffeehouses/cafe's and not available to
any church concert events, camps,
festivals, colleges, etc.
Please contact us if
you are unsure if your event qualifies for this option.
Unless,
otherwise agreed, the base rate is calculated off the distance
from Plymouth, Massachusetts (02360).

How To Compensate A Christian Musical Artist
(And What The Bible Says
About It)
During a financial negotiation
between a Christian musician and a church pastor, the pastor
remarked, "You want to be paid for your show? Why?
All you have to do is sing?". The musician
thought for a second and then
said, "You are right...and on Sunday, all you have do is
talk".
It's
paradoxical that the unsaved will pay gobs of beer soaked
cash to have someone sing to them while they get drunk.
However, ask many Christians to pay for Godly entertainment and
they tend to run away as if you offered to set their hair on fire!
Let's see what the Owners Manual (aka the Bible) has to say
about the subject.

"1 Corinthians 9 -
4Don't we have the
right to live in your homes and share your meals?
5Don't we have the
right to bring a Christian wife along with us as the other
disciples and the Lord's brothers and Peter do?
6Or is it only
Barnabas and I who have to work to support ourselves?
7What soldier has to
pay his own expenses? And have you ever heard of a farmer who
harvests his crop and doesn't have the right to eat some of it?
What shepherd takes care of a flock of sheep and isn't allowed
to drink some of the milk? 8And
this isn't merely human opinion. Doesn't God's law say the same
thing? 9For the law
of Moses says, "Do not keep an ox from eating as it treads out
the grain."
Do you suppose God was thinking only about oxen when
he said this? 10Wasn't
he also speaking to us? Of course he was. Just as farm workers
who plow fields and thresh the grain expect a share of the
harvest, Christian workers should be paid by those they serve. |
